My visitor

The other day was the anniversary of my uncle/godfather's passing. And every year since Carlos left us,( keep in mind it has only been three years ) he visits me. No, I am not losing my mind and no it does not scare me.

I do believe in spirits. This year I was driving my girls to group on Tuesday afternoon with the windows down, wind blowing the the car and me singing at the top of my lungs as if I were Mariah Carey when BAM Carlos popped into my head. Mid song there he was, maybe he liked my singing or maybe it was so bad he came by to shut me up 🤣 I racked my brain for the date and it hit me the anniversary was coming up.

The actual day of the anniversary I found my tv remotes on the floor. Now I am like clock work, when I go to bed I put my remotes in the same place on my desk..every single night. Well the morning of those remotes were on the floor!

I do miss him a lot. We used to go visit him pretty much every Friday night when I lived with my parents. He had such a good heart, I take comfort knowing he comes to visit. Wonder what else he has in store for me ❤️

Being Thankful

Thanksgiving is a day for thanks, with that being said I am thankful for my parents, healthy kids, all of my extended family (especially Auntie Lou Lou ) and my best friend Amanda. Without them I have no idea where I would be.

Everyday I am grateful for the roof over my head and the food on my table, I may not have a lot but I have enough.

I think this is one of my favorite holidays. I love the tradition of it all; Macys Day Parade, having lunch at my parents then of course my aunt comes over with her boys for dessert. I like looking over the Black Friday ads ( I don't actually shop just look ) and just relaxing in my turkey coma. Which I am currently in the middle of !!

Now onto Christmas ......

Another Christmas come and gone

After so much planning and stressing and work Christmas is over ! What a great Christmas it was. I worked hard this year for my girls and I am proud of myself, I relied on myself to get them presents and to see their smiles was worth it all.

Although my poor sweet Gina does have a Staph Infection this year ( last year it was whooping cough, seriously can she get a break at Christmas time ). She had a fever that would not break for five days straight, was not eating, barely drinking, so weak and almost dehydrated when her regular doctor put her antibiotic. The first doctor we saw, was just on-call tried telling me it was just a cold....yeah right !!! Anyway after one dose of the antibiotic the poor baby's face swelled up and she got a rash all over, you guessed it she is allergic to it. Back to the doctor we went yesterday, he did feel so badly for her. I am happy to say that she is eating and drinking and feeling a whole lot better today although she still has the rash but we can deal with that.

Back to our day, it was filled with laughs, presents, family, and food the way Christmas should be every year. I hope it stays like this for next year. I hope everyone else enjoyed their Christmas. What was your favorite gift ? Or memory ? My oldest daughter framed a picture of her and her sister in a beautiful frame that says "sisters".. I absolutely love it.

Till next time, stay well. Xoxo
